Oh, you think I’m done? I still have more to share. Listen to this. On March 2nd of this year, I had my first private showing of the Hawaiian Island Series art. One of the guests that I was introduced to, Nancy Arcayna, is a writer for the Honolulu Star Advertiser. She approached me shortly after the show about possibly writing up a feature article in the ‘Today’ section featuring gardens across the island of O’ahu, noting how art was incorporated into our garden space. Of course I said I’d have to think about it. NOT! I said YES and I would be honored. You know, one of those Ah Ha moments? How fun are they. So she came out to the house with the very talented photographer, Craig T. Kojima. They spent the afternoon exploring the garden and inquiring about the 35 palm trees planted in a 500 square foot space, attaching orchids to the palm trees, how we’ve intermingled herbs and vegetables into the flowers, plants and other landscape as well as the original paintings and artwork which we’ve added to our outdoor space. So you can read the article by click the link I’ve included below and see some pictures of my backyard which just happens to be one of the major resources for my Hawaiian Island Series artworks. Thanks for checking in letting me share the world through my eyes.
